Christian Crum
December 11, 1979
June 12, 2011

Christian Crum began his career with the Stafford Police Department on March 4th, 2007, and was previously enlisted in the US Navy for four years.  After completing the 16 week Field Training Program, he was assigned to the Patrol Division, Evening Shift.  After approximately a year on Evening Shift Patrol, a personnel shortage required that an Evening Shift Officer be re-assigned to Night Shift to assist in coverage.  Officer Chris Crum volunteered for this assignment and spent approximately 6 months on Night Shift, before returning to the Evening Shift.

After returning to Evening Shift, while still working patrol, the division was asked for a volunteer to travel to Kansas and become certified in maintenance and repair of the newly acquired digital video systems.  Officer Crum again volunteered for this, knowing it would entail additional work and assignments upon return.

After approximately two years on patrol, Chris Crum successfully put in for the Warrant Officer position and assumed those duties.  During his assignment as the Warrant Officer, Chris Crum continued to run maintenance and repairs on the mobile video systems and volunteered and took charge of the Mobile Data Terminals, Mobile and Portable radios, and vehicle maintenance.

On June 12th 2011 Chris Crum succumbed to injuries sustained in an off-duty motorcycle crash.  He was a friend to everyone in this Department, and is deeply missed by us all.
